My Hero is better than Avengers!

Since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated with science fiction movies,

such as Batman and the Wolverine franchise. Both of them have

the same qualities that I’m always amazed which is the agility to fight

even without supernatural powers, and the never-say-die attitude.

But later on in life, I saw a historical war film in 2007's

“300”. It was about the bravery of 300 men who stood their ground

in the Thermopylae to block the Persians into a narrow pass.

Led by a formidable heart of King Leonidas I, he inspires me

to digitise a sketch (by a Wacom Intuos), a battle scene

that depicts the courageous 300 men who sacrificed their lives.

Every stroke I made that time was emotional. The colours evoked

the anger, resilience, resulting in a raw and authentic energy. I added

small details of texture to feel the remnants and wreckage.

The overall experience inspires me to be courageous and optimistic

in facing challenges in life. Every small step forward is progress.

Never stop pushing until we have the sweet reward in the end.
